  • Moisturize: Apply lip balm with SPF regularly to protect lips from the cold, dry air and prevent chapping.

  • Keep up with oral hygiene: Brush your teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush and toothpaste for sensitive teeth to minimize discomfort caused by dental sensitivity. Try to make it a habit to clean your mouth 30 – 60 minutes after having any sweet or acidic treats.
  • Adjust your eating habits. Avoid very hot or very cold foods and drinks if you notice increased tooth sensitivity during winter months. Also, consume sugary foods only in moderation.
  • Rinse with salt water: This can be soothing for canker sores and cold sores.
